FMF ground screws
A Quick, Clean and Precise alternative to traditional concrete foundations

Why choose ground screws.
Ground screws are a modern foundation solution that serves as an alternative to traditional concrete foundations. They are typically installed to a depth of up to 900mm and are designed to transfer loads to deep soil strata, making them suitable for various applications, including home office or studio, decking, car ports, solar arrays and other structures.
Ground screws are cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and can be easily installed in a day subject to ground suitability. They eliminate the need for extensive groundwork, reducing mess, noise and disruption.
Aplications
FMF ground screws can be used with most permanent light weight structures. From home studios and offices, to decks, car ports and solar installations.
We also offer a hire option for temporary structures like stages, portacabins and art installations. The screws can be extracted easily leaving no trace of the structure footprint.

Are FMF ground screws suitable for me?
The main limitations for ground screws are partularly rocky ground, or very soft ground. Any big rocks will prevent the screw being able to penetrate the ground, often the screw can be re-located close to its original position, but sometimes an install is not possible.
In ground that is very unstable, there is a risk of the building sinking slowly.
Contact us if you are unsure of the risks.
How affordable are ground screws?
Ground screws are comparable in cost to conventional concrete foundations under normal circumstances and access. However in situations where access is a bit more difficult, or where damage to existing landscaping is a risk, ground screws become a very affordable option. All the equipment is easily carried, anf the install usually is done within a single day.
What site preparation is required?
The site needs to be clear of obstacles giving direct access to the natural ground. The screws though can be installed directly into the soil, or grass with no preparation required.
How long will the screws last?
All screws are hot dip galvanized with a lifespan ranging between 30 and 75 years, depending on environmental conditions like acidity and salt in coastal regions.
